Firefox - Scrollbar - Down Arrow Missing

For some reason, the down arrow in the vertical scroll bar area on the right side of my Firefox browser window is now missing. I use Windows XP Home Edition. Can someone please tell me how to restore it?

Reinstalling? have you done this first of all?

Do you have the same problem if you create and use another profile?

I had the same problem. I resolved it by clicking in View and then enabling the status bar by simply clicking on it. This will give you the status bar at the bottom as well as return the ever so important down arrow in the vertical scroll bar. Try it.
