Thunderbird issues

I've used Thunderbird for years and never had these problems. Inbox takes forever to load messages and if I leave Inbox when I return there is nothing there but it starts loading messages again taking a very long time. Also, the "Get Mail" button doesn't work. I have to go up top to File "Get new messages for" and retrieve messages that way. I'm not REAL technical so any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Thunderbird issues

Hi,

Can you list the Thunderbird version you are using and the add-ons you have installed?

It is advised not to keep emails in the inbox after you've viewed them, because with use the inbox corrupts and you end up losing emails. Its a known occurrence since at least 2 years.

Make another folder in there by right-clicking and choosing "New folder" and move emails to that folder from the inbox. Then right-click the folder and inbox folder and choose "Compact". Restart Thunderbird and see what you get.
