Re: Firefox from USB to Computer ...?

Hello Mypenry

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong on this but I believe Firefox portable is designed to work on just that, portable devices - flash drive, portable hard drive, etc. If you like FF portable and would like to install it on the hard drive of your computer then I would suggest installing the regular version.

Re: Firefox from USB to Computer ...?

Hi Clark76..
Thanks for your reply , I was hoping as ive Tweaked / add ons / settings / to my portable
FF, it would have been nice to be able to transfer all the current settings Etc to a new
FF set up on my Computer HDD..

Oh well it looks as if I have to start from scratch ...

Thanks for your advice and comments much appreciated.

Re: Firefox from USB to Computer ...?

Firefox Portable can be copied to the internal hard drive of a computer and ran from that directory without any problems.

An addon called FEBE backups your settings, saves it all to one file, and allows you to restore it to another copy of Firefox.

An addon called Foxmarks allows you to backup/restore your bookmarks.

An addon called Password Exporter allows you to backup/restore your passwords.

Use an addon called CLEO to backup your addons and combine them all into one addon file, for easy installation to Firefox.
