[SOLVED] Browser keeps freezing

Hi

I installed Firfox just the otherday and seemed to be working fine but now it has a tendency to freeze alot. It says done at the bottom of the page and the page is there but the hourglass is up as if it's still doing something and you can't select anything. If you do click on the page then comes the "Not Responding" up top.....

I only installed one add on "Clips". Could this be causing it ??

I also don't have java but I have had firfox before and didn't have this problem and I didn't have java back then but still had the "Clips" addon so I don't think it's that either. Any suggestions ??

I am on 56k dial up
I am using Firefox 2.0
XP Media Centre 2005
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.0G Dual core
2GB DDRam
Nvidia 6800

Re: Browser keeps freezing

Thanks for the quick reply,

I reinstalled firefox 2.0 and Java (fresh sunsystems download from java.com) about 20 minutes ago and was just using the browser and it froze again :o(

PLMK and thanks again,

Darryl

P.S - Internet Explorer 7 is working fine, I have no problems with it...
