[SOLVED] Lost sound in Firefox
Hi,
I wasn't sure where to post this, so I may have the wrong forum, but here goes anyway. This evening I noticed that, for some websites, firefox isn't giving me any sound - this applies to youtube and mousebreaker.com (a flash games site) amongst others, so I'm thinking the problem may be with flash. However, I've uninstalled (through Add/Remove programmes) and reinstalled flash, with no success. I still get sound from itunes, so I don't think it's a soundcard problem, but I'm not sure what else I can do to fix this annoying issue. The issue is the same for IE7, but since I never use IE7, and didn't know where else to post this, I thought I'd post it in the firefox forum. I'd be really grateful to hear any suggestions for what I can do. Thanks very much in advance. Last edited by Matt_PNEtownend; 08-06-2007 at 04:07 PM. |

Re: Lost sound in Firefox
Of course. I noticed that the problem began why I installed a new webcam (Logitech) last Friday. I think the drivers for the webcam had kindly changed my audio settings, so that the sound played through a device other than my soundcard. I changed it back and it worked fine afterwards.
What I don't understand is why itunes never stopped playing properly... |
