how do i make firefox my default browser?

Hello and welcome to TSF

Open up Firefox, then click on Tools and go down to Options.

Now click on the tab Main, then underneath System Defaults, tick the box that says "Always check that firefox is the default browser on start up", now click on the button Check now. This should now have Firefox as your default.

Also, disable the 'check for default program' at startup for your other browsers. For example, in Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Programs and disable 'Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser'
