[Solved] Mozilla Fire Fox

Hi. When I try to go to Firefox on my Hubby's computer...his is a Windows XP- SE I get a box that pops up and says:

The procedure entry point? ListenerDied @ nsCategory Observer @@QAEXXZ could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom_core.dll

What does all of this mean? I have run AVG Anti-Spyware...Ad-Aware SE and Spybot-SD...which all came up clean.

Thank you for your time.

Renee.

Re: Mozilla Fire Fox

Hi Renee

Download this ZIP file I'm attaching, unzip it using something like WinZip, and you'll find a file called xpcom_core.dll.

Have Firefox closed and move that file into this place C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\. Move it inside the Mozilla Firefox folder.

Then restart Fx and see how it goes.

File Type: zip xpcom_core.zip (191.4 KB, 35 views)

Re: [Solved] Mozilla Fire Fox

Had this very problem, and the file solved it, on the contrary to other versions I found online. Thanks a lot.
I had to come here using IE, but it was worth it ;)
