Content Won't Load for me on FF Pages

Hi guys,

I'm having browser issues with Firefox lately. I'm running the latest version (2.0.0.4), but it seems content won't load on some websites. Every morning I get up and load into Gmail, I have to wait about 10 minutes before I can even send out an email. The Java simply won't load. Then, I'll go into Yahoo Images, type in something, and only watch two of the thumbnails load. It takes about 5-7 minutes for the rest to finally catch up. (Mind you, on my wireless Mac computer, it loads instantly). So at first I thought this was a router/internet issue. Until we realized I was getting the same Speed Test results through the router as I was when we went directly into the modem.

Then, we tried a simple test. I loaded up Internet Explorer, and the same pages I was having trouble with in FF loaded instantly there.

So long story short, I need some suggestions. Should I just uninstall and reinstall FF? I had this problem back when I was using version 1.5.4. And I thought that upgrading to Version 2.0.0.4 would solve it. But it didn't. So maybe I need a clean uninstall.

If this is what you all suggest, please recommend me the best and most thorough way of doing this, without losing any important settings or bookmarks.

Hi

Do you have any extensions/themes installed?

Fx has a debug mode as part of the package called Firefiox 'Safe Mode'. Basically the slimline standard Fx.

It can be accessed through the Start menu. Try testing through that (while all Fx windows are closed) and see how it goes.

Also, check your "connection settings" (Alt+o>Advanced>Network>Settings) and make sure you configure it as it should be (direct connection if it's not through a proxy).

Have you ran any bandwidth speedtests through IE and Fx on the same machine to compare?
