retrieving lost bookmarks ???

Hello all
Need some help. Had a shed load of bookmaks dissaperar from my firefox browser last night, very ticked off!

Any ideas on where one could recover these from?

Any help much appreciated

My Computer/C/Documents and Settings/Account name/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/xxxxxxxx.default(unless another profile was created)/bookmarks.html or a Folder named bookmarkbackups/in that folder the past 5 days of bookmarks are saved

You can also do a Search for bookmarks.html

Are you using a different Profile for any reason?

Bookmarks won't just disappear without an action or cause BTW. They should still be there where Flatiron mentioned, but answering Keith's question will help us.
