spell checker extension

Hello

Is there a spell checker extension for FireFox ver.1.5? I'm looking for something that might work like Microsoft Word does only when typing in the forums. Thanks in advanced for any help provided

What is SpellBound?

SpellBound is a port of the spellchecker code and user interface from the Mozilla Suite's Composer that enables spell checking in web forms such as html text area / input elements (html input password elements are not checked by SpellBound) and rich text form elements. This allows you to spell check forms (e.g. message board posts, blog entries, wysiwyg, etc.) before submitting them when using your Mozilla Firefox or Mozilla Suite browser.

What's Firefox 2.0 like? Any problems with it? I'm waiting for my 1.5 extensions and themes to be updated for 2.0 compatibility before I make the change.

nope, no problems for me...except having to wait for Fasterfox to be updated...so I can't blame you for waiting for all the updates. BTW....Firefox also has a built in phishing filter, if you go to a web page that looks like a real one, but isn't (say for PayPal)....it will open up a little box and let you know and ask you whether to continue or leave the page....pretty cool tool.

I don't want to hijack Clark's thread too much but just to let you know, Fasterfox 2.0.0 (Oct'06) is compatible with Firefox 2.0

Thank you koala and WOLFMAN1966 for all your input. I went and upgraded to 2.0 since it was on my "to-do list" anyways. It does exactly what I wanted. Thank you.
