When installing Firefox from Google there were three Firefox Icons created on my desktop. None of them launch Firefox. When I go to delete the icons I get a message "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the sourche file or disk."
Because I have an icon in my quick tools box that works. How can I delete the three icons on my desktop. Firefox runs just fine. I just want to get rid of these three icons. PS. I'm using Firefox 1.0.8.7 |

Is it Firefox 1.5 or 2.0? Did you download from the official site?
Right-click the icons and click Properties. Under the Shortcut tab, what does it say in the Target box for each icon?

You may have already deleted it. That is why this error usually occurs. If so, just reboot your system and if they're still there, delete them. They should delete.
There are programs available that force deletions BTW. |
