Where do I locate the bookmarks folder?

I'm planning on reformatting my hard drive and I'd like to save my firefox bookmarks onto CD so I can use them again after my drive has been formatted. What's the best way to do this?

This is how I saved my bookmarks to CD

click bookmarks
manage bookmarks...
file
exports
then save it to your cd drive.

This is for version 1.5, if you are running version 2.0 it might differ slightly.

Great, thanks for the advice. The only question I have left is how do I reinstall the bookmarks?

Simple

click bookmarks
manage bookmarks...
file
import
select "from file" then next
select the file from the CD or where ever you have it saved
open
