Page diverted to ad
When I tried to come to this website I typed the address in and I was diverted to an ad for bugdoctor. This has only happened with this website and only with Firefox. If I use IE it's fine. Any ideas?

I can only say 'me too' ...but a different ad. I visited a site looking for some clipart. Firefox 2.0 appeared to shut down and I was left with a grey Windows dialogue box containing an ad for 'SystemDoctor' down at the bottom-right of the screen. I didn't click any buttons in the box but looked for Firefox in Task Manager. It was listed as running so I ended the process.
It's at times like that when I'm glad I have sandboxie as an extra security layer. I emptied the sandbox as a precaution. I checked for any signs of installation after the event but found none. Last edited by martt; 11-06-2006 at 03:41 AM. |

You could try getting a HOSTs file. It will block all ads as long as their URL is listed in the file. You can also manually enter URLs anytime you feel necessary.
A good, recommended HOSTs file is: Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File It tells you how to replace the default 1 aswell. |
