Is there any way to convert old Firefox themes into Firefox 2.0 themes? Thanks.

You might have success by updating the <em:maxVersion> number in the install.rdf file, or by letting the 'Mr Tech Local Install' extension automatically update the version number for you (as a theme installs). The trouble is that toolbars in Firefox 2.0 are a bit different to those in Firefox 1.5. I'd think that Firefox 1.5 themes could behave quite differently when applied to Firefox 2.0. There might be a bit more involved to updating a theme than just increasing the version number.
It won't hurt to try updating the version number of a theme yourself. If it looks horrible when used, you can always go back to using the default theme, or one that works with Firefox 2.0. |
