Question Firefox 2 upgrade, connection problems

Ok, I downloaded firefox 2.0 and installed it, then all connectivity just dumped out. I tried the firewall resetting, I tried restarting, I tried using IE, all come up with nothing. Now, the comp that this happened to was a laptop on wireless network. It does connect to the network, I can ping, and it connects, but no browsers will access the internet. I don't have any 3rd party firewalls installed, no Norton, no nothing. I'm completely stumped.

Sorry for the lack of details, but it's like 3:30 in the morning here, and i've been up since 6, haha. Anyways, any questions, ask away.

I've taaken a number of steps, I did try that. I uninstalled FF, tried IE7 alone, still nothing. I reinstalled and restarted, nothing. I set the dedaults in windows firewall so that it would pick up FF again and i could make the exception for it, still nothing. However, I am able to connect to a MUD through a client, but I can't browse the internet.
