Corupt Downloads

Hello
I have been noticing a problem with my internet connection for about a month now. To sum it up : Data seems to be corrupted as it is downloaded to my computer. Any time I download ANYTHING such as a song, Application setup, image, zip file the file cannot be opened and it says file is corupt. Were talking 100% of all downloads excluding my file sharing program e-mule, emule downloads seen to be fine. Also half of the time, large images that are loaded into the browser appear digitally distorted with half of image in color and half in one color and parts of the image appear in random places its not supposed to be on the image.
But the main problem is that I cannot download any file so I cant update any of my software or get any other software via download.

At first using IE might be the problem so I switched to Firefox and that didnt help. Then I tried disabling all firewall and still no help. Also I ran spybot S&D and Mcafee scan and still no help

Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the fault happens with more than one browser, it must be something common to them. All temp files all deleted are they, caches emptied and defrag done etc? This thread might be of interest if you are using a router.
