Connecting to OSX server from XP

Hello we have a OSX server(10.2.x) that our XP users frequently connect to.
For some reason if a XP user connects and and then looses their IP connection, they cannot reconnect from the same IP address.
Here is a example.
A XP user from workstation 192.100.1.2 connects to a MAC server at 192.168.100.3.
The XP user then looses their connection for whatever reason. When they attempt to reconnect from that address they are denied access, they can't even PING the server from their original address!!!

I give them a new address and bingo they are back in the MAC server.

Has anyone else experienced this?

HELP!

I never heard of that problem with OSX however if you are connecting wirelessly then you might have an issue, when i was setting up my old works wireless network we had to deal with the RADIUS server not letting people reconnect if the thought that they were already connected. If its on a wired network you might want to look in the the authenication. Its probally getting the request for another connection and saying that the connection already exists therefore this second connection must be a man in the middle attack. Post up some more info as to your network and all that other good stuff and then we might be able to give you more insight.
