Lexmark z22 not printing in OS X with Netscape e-mail client

Is anyone aware of the problem noted in the heading? My neighbor upgraded from OS 9 to X, downloaded a newer version of Netscape for his e-mail, and now cannot print any e-mail. The routine starts, then he gets a stop message. He can print from OS X, it seems, and from the Netscape e-mail client in OS 9. Any ideas?

has he got the latest printer drivers? one work around is to do a 'print preview'<menu item>, then print from 'preview'<app> after it launches.

Yes, he has downloaded the latest driver.

The print from print preview work around does not work.

The printer behaves normally in OS 9.

It looks as though the OS sends the first part of the data stream to the printer and then something stops or freezes up.

Any other ideas?
