Could you find out how much hard drive space is available? I assume by 'burning' you mean burning JPEG images onto a CD/DVD. It would also help to know the software being used to burn and how much is being put on the disk (in MB). It's best to have a lot of space on a Mac OS X boot drive (about 4 GB is a good minimum).
What version of Mac is your friend running? Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 are very different operating systems. In all cases, posting the exact error message will make it easier for me to solve this problem. |

shuuhen means at least 4gig free on the had at all times, which i second as a good standard(more if you use photoshop, video apps and do dvd burning). and thats what i'd say the problem is as well. most sw has to make a 'fake' cd on the hd when burning cds, so if there isn't enouph room then the burn will fail. but let us know what version of the mac os they are using, as well as the specs of the mac. click on the apple icon in the upper left and select 'about this mac'. that gives the cpu/ram/os info that we like.
