Trouble w/HP Laserjet through USB in OS9
Hello, I'm stumped with this one.
I was doing some upgrading for a client this past week. His machine is a 400 MHz G4 tower, it was running 9.0.4 and he wanted to upgrade to 9.2.2. Everything went fine with the upgrade but now the HP 5100 isn't behaving. The Laserjet has the Jetdirect J4135A USB/Serial card and it was working flawlessly before the upgrade. (I had no luck searching through the HP support site.) This is what is happening... with the printer on and connected, I launch the Desktop Printer Utility and create a desktop printer, no problem. Next I launch the HP Laserjet Utility, click on connect to printer, the printer is listed, but once I click on it, the cursor just spins and spins...forever! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. |
