Hi. I am currently thinking to get an external hard drive for my i book. Do you have any suggestions for what kind to get which would be the best value dollar wise..

well, usb2 driver will be the best bang for the buck. faster then usb 1.1 and most times not cost as much as firewire. as far as brands, couldn't help you there. but i'm sure any that macsales.com has to offer must be decent. or you could do what i did, and make your own. i had a 40gig hd laying around, and had bought a coule of usb2 cd enclosures on sale from fry's electronics and put the two together. had a homebuilt 40gig external usb2 drive for cheap.
