Hi usherld,

What type of attachment are you trying to open? You may not have the software installed on your computer to open it. For example if someone sent you and Excel spreadsheet you would need Microsoft Excel to read it.

You may have better luck downloading the attachment, and opening it with the correct Mac application. If it is an office, or excel generated file, use Open Office. It should run under Mac, and it's free! If you need Open Office, it's simple.. http://www.openoffice.org Download and install. It's around 12MB though. If you have dial-up, you may have time for a snickers.

What's the extension of that file? It'll have a .xxx at the end of the filename. If you give us that, we can help you out.

It should show it in the email- it's just the end of the file name, like file.doc would be a Microsoft Word Document file named 'file.'
