Hi,
Is it possible to integrate a pc server w/ win2003 and use it for DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory but still be able to use macs???? I know you can put pcs into mac domains but can you put macs into pc domains????? We will have about 14 macs, about 10 pcs, and 1 server w/ win2003 on it. Cant afford Mac Xserve G5 just quite yet but we will get one soon. Just some needed info. thanks alot everyone. bye bye. |

I don't see any reason why Macs wouldn't work. What are the Macs running? Mac OS <= 9 or Mac OS X?
Here's Apple's overview of this subject with Mac OS X. |

it can be done
i know it can be done with a little tweeking if your macs are running OS X. at home i have a win xp box and a PPC 8600 with a G4 upgrade running 10.2.8. my dad has two more windows towers and two laptops all in the home network. i got the mac to see all of them and do file sharing. i can even log into my mac from win xp. being what you are looking to do is intranet related, it should be no problem. networking language is standard on all platforms. even if you have 9.2.2, the macs still can see the win box as a dns and such, just like the do over the internet. it is just easyer with os x because of the unix underpining. terminal is a good friend to unlease the power of the cats.
