Really REALLY frustrating internet connectivity issues
Okay, I'm getting fed up with the sporadic nature of my internet connectivity. It doesn't matter where I take my iMac, it's the same thing over and over. The internet will be fine, then suddenly drop out, then be fine, etc. And sometimes will dropout completely for a length of time. Other times be so slow it's not even worth trying to browse the internet. I have AirPort but I don't have any external device or base. It just connects to a router that's hooked up to a PC.
I'm also not very familiar with a lot of the technical lingo that gets thrown at these types of issues, so I would appreciate a little dumbing down lol. I'm also a World of Warcraft player so you can maybe understand the gravity of this issue I just want to be able to experience the game without the random lapses and terrible laggingAnyway this can be helped? It's not the router that's having issues either because my friend has near-perfect connectivity and never has any problems. |

Re: Really REALLY frustrating internet connectivity issues
Have you pulled out the Airport card and then put it back in to make sure that it is seated correctly in the slot. I had an iBook act like this, only to find out the wireless card was loose.
