OS: win xp and mac osx

I have a question. I have a mac G4 osx and when starting up my system I have a screen that pops up in various of languages that states to restart my mac...Never had this problem. What should I do?...

What exactly does the message say (the English part of the message)? Do you know what version of Mac OS X the machine is running?

Sounds like a clean kernel panic. Most times it is a hardware issue when you get that window instead of a screen full of text, kind of a BSOD, only not as informative. Have you made any hardware changes recently? Have you tried booting from an OS X install CD?

Thank you for the various response. I never had any changes made to this Mac. However, I did leave it for awhile at an angry, misrable roomate house for a couple of weeks until I moved out. What changes could have been done out of spite?...This is a mac G4 OSX. Haven't used it long enough to know all about it. I purchased it because I engineer and produce music but I needed to get more memory installed before I did any musical work. What shaould I do?...

You need the CDs that came with the Mac new, as one will have a hardware test CD that you should run. Also, you'll need the OS restore/install CD incase the OS is bad.
