Mac installation of external HDD
Can i install jas 10.4.6 mac os x on my external HDD. As there is already a os (windows 7) on my lappy on c: i don't wanna mess up with the things on my lappy so i want to boot both os which i want.. please be guided ..which information.

If it is not a Mac, there is nothing you can do to install it. Please read the sticky about installing OS X on a non-Mac PC. If it is a Mac, you boot from the install DVD, plug in the hard drive and tell the installer to install the OS on that drive. In order for it to be bootable, the installer will have to reformat the whole drive and create the Mac specific partition table.
