Sort of an odd macbook pro display question

I just had major back surgery and need to spend the majority of the winter in bed, either flat on my back or on my side, as most of my lumbar attempts to fuse together.

Laying on my side gets old real fast causing a stiff neck amongst other things.

So, I am trying to devise a way to mount my macbook pro (MBP) inverted so I can lay on my back and look up or forward at the screen.

I plan to utilize a bedside hospital table I own, mounting the MBP underneath it using some brackets to hold it up. Suspending the MBP from the display would place the keyboard vertical in front of me, but that seems a bit precarious and may damage the MBP where the display mounts to the base.

Another way I have thought of is to suspend the MBP completely inverted mounting the base to the bottom of the table, which would be way more stable and allow the display angle to be adjustable, then use an external keyboard and mouse, but in this scenario the display would be upside down.

Is there a way to rotate the display 180 degrees that anyone is aware of?

The MBP is a model 3.1 with a GeForce 8600m GT display

TY for any replies,

StiffNeck

Not that I am aware of. If you plug a monitor into the Macbook, then it will have an option to rotate, but nothing for the built in screen.
