Safari Problem
I have 2 MAC Computers...one a Mac Mini and One a Mac Book. Both are running Snow Leopard...all other software has been updated. I've narrowed this problem down to a Safari problem/issue...since updating to Snow Leopard I do not have this issue happening on my MAC book. But I believe it possibily started after updating to Snow Leopard...but not quite sure of that either. Anyway, I've narrowed it down to Safari on my MAC mini because it doesn't happen on Safari on my MAC BOOK and tonight I see that on the Mini with Mozilla Firefox it also doesn't happen. The issue is...that some of my AOL mail...and some other websites...but not all AOL mail and not all (or even most) other websites...scramble the letters in e-mails or websites when they're opened. So instead of reading something like: the cat is in the hallway.... there'll be: t e c a i te hlw (Well that's just trying to give you an idea. It's not all of my AOL mail...but way too much of it. I use AOL in the web. On my MAC Book the same messages that have this scramble feature are totally fine...as it is in Firefox...
I've emptied cookes, emptied the cache, and reset Safari. None of those things seems to fix it. I believe I trashed AOL preferences at one point...but not sure if I trashed all the necessary files. Wondering if anyone knows how to fix my problem. I thinking it's either something really easy or really hard. |

Re: Safari Problem
Did you do an update of 10.5 to 10.6, or did you reformat the hard drive and installed 10.6 fresh? If resetting Safari didn't fix it, it could be that Safari itself is bad, which could of happened if you just did an update from 10.5 to 10.6. If this is the case, you may only be able to fix it by reinstalling the OS again, only this time fresh. Other thing to look at, what are the font size settings you have in Safari?
