Fan keeps going
Normally my Macbook 10.5.8 runs absolutely quietly, yet sometimes the fan keeps going. I started it up a little while ago, stone cold, and immediately the fan goes and keeps going until I switch it off.
If you can help me to rectify this little matter I would be most obliged. Thanks, Stuartp77 |

Re: Fan keeps going
Sounds like the SMC may have some errors. You could try resetting it. But before that, I'd try using this software. I use it on my Macbook to help it stay a bit cooler, but it gives you control over the fan in it. By the way, the fan is always running, and if Fan Control shows that it is running at low speed, and you can still hear it, then the fan is bad and needs to be replaced ASAP before it dies, and your Macbook gets cooked.
