Mac-on-Stick & screen size
Has anybody any advice on how to increase the 'screensize' in a Mac-on-Stick display (assuming it is possible)? I find that the size is too small for me.
Would ResEdit be any use, or is it something one needs to get into Terminal to do? |

Re: Mac-on-Stick & screen size
Mac on stick? Are you referring to the Mac model, as that's the first time I've heard that one. What Mac do you have? As for changing the resolution, you need to goto the Displays System Preference Pane and change it there. ResEdit for the Mac is a resource editor, not resolution changer, and the last Mac OS that it would even run on, or make changes to, was OS 9. Also, what do you mean by too small, icons and text, or not enough real estate to have all your windows open?

Re: Mac-on-Stick & screen size
Well, this changes things. TSF does not offer support on emulators due to possible legal issues. Unless you own the Mac who's ROM you are using for the emulator, it is not legal, and we have no way to know if you do or don't. But, I will tell you this, because you are running an emulator for a classic Macintosh, you can't make the screen any bigger, as they were never bigger then that. There was only one size screen on those Macintoshs, so the OS was only written to be at that one size. You'll have to learn to live with it.

Re: Mac-on-Stick & screen size
I doubt that there would be anything in the ROM. The screen size selection you have will be set by what ever Mac you are emulating. System 7.5 and later had a monitors control panel that would let you change the monitor resolution, I just don't remember what the panel was called. With OS 8.6 and later it was added the the regular monitor control panel. System 6.5 and older did not have any options to change the screen resolution. So it really depends on the Mac and OS.

Re: Mac-on-Stick & screen size
No, he's already past that point, and has it made. He wants the window of the screen to be bigger, which can not be done due to the limitations of the OS and the ROM.
