Apple staff transferred from our PC our old Microsoft Word (2003 and older versions onto our new Mac (operating system 10). What are the steps to find and open these documents on our Mac? Also, the documents no longer show the names we gave them, but rather what appears to be an arbitrary series of numbers and letters. Any way we can see the document names as we originally named them? If not, how can be rename them to something in English rather than computer gobbly gook? Help! - Desiree B.

Re: Opening up Word 2003 and older documents in Word 2007 for Mac
The names should of transfered just fine. If you see long strings of letters and numbers, those aren't the files, but rather cache files some program made. Where are these odd files located, and where have you looked for your files? Also, could you clarify which program version made the files, and which version the Mac has on it.
