Printing problems with colors
My G5 Imac power supply went out in the middle of a photo job. I picked up a used Intel Imac for a decent price. My projects are kept on an external Firewire drive so I got going again right away. The problem I having is the color mismatch. It's like there's an extra layer of cyan transparancy overlaying the photo. I've downloaded the color profile from the paper manufacturer but the results are still way off. The blues are overbearing and the skin tones are ashen. I've played with all the settings I can think of but that only makes minor changes.
I reprinted a photo that I had done a couple of months ago with the same printer (Canon 4300). It's dull and the blues are overbearing. That tells me that it's not a my monitor colors. Unless my printer failed at exactly the same time as my Mac power supply it has to be an issue with the software. Any ideas? |

Re: Printing problems with colors
Did you make sure that the proper profiles are embedded in the photos? I know some programs can do that, and if they are not converting them to the new iMac, that may be the issue. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. You might be better off asking for help in the graphic part of the forum.
