iMac doesn't recognize it's internal modem
Hi, I have an iMac with OS X 5 that I want to use dial-up with. It has a modem, I can plug the phone line in and all but no where in the System Preferences - Networking is there "Internal Modem" to select, and in "About this Mac - Modem" it says "no information available". Any idea? Thanks.

Re: iMac doesn't recognize it's internal modem
Are you sure it has an internal modem; have you had it on the net in the past?
I purchased a second hand computer through the government sales before and they stripped anything good out of it so even if your computer originally had one, and this scenario took place, this may be the case. If someone had it apart they may have not put it back together properly so those are the options I see.
