alternative to Helios ?

we have created shares on our solaris server.

we access them through a program called Helios on the mac.

But this Helios programs does not allow us to specify certain groups and users READ only access.

Is there another program that can allow us to manipulate shares on unix through the mac ?

Re: alternative to Helios ?

What kind of shares are they? Samba, NFS, etc. should work from the Mac. Mac OS X is a Unix-like operating system, so it shouldn't have trouble networking with other Unix-likes. You can use Terminal (in the Utilities folder on your Mac) if you need to use ssh, rsync or other command line utilities.
