OS X Server w RAID setup, advice needed
anyone out there who can offer advice..
I have an older Xserve that i have to set up. I have 14 disks ,each 250Gig on one single chassis. So i was going to split 7 for Area 1 with its own controller and the other 7 for Area 2 with its own controller. Area 1: 6 disks @ 250Gb = 1.5T 7th disk - hot spare RAID Level: 5 upper controller Area 2: 6 disks @ 250Gb = 1.5Tb 7th disk = hot spare RAID Level: 5 lower controller both attached in one chassis controlled by an OS X Server using RAID Admin your thoughts ? thx |
