Boot Camp prep

I have a MacBook with 10.5 When using the Boot Camp assistant, I get as far as the reboot to the XP install disc & the system just hangs with a curser in the top Lh corner. My only option is to power down then force a cd eject in able to reboot the machine.

Re: Boot Camp prep

How long do you let it sit before you reboot? Also, what version of XP are you trying to install? You can only use single disk full install copies of SP2 or SP3.

Re: Boot Camp prep

It shouldn't take that long. It sounds like there could be something wrong with the install CD. You are using a disk the you bought, correct? How big a partition did you make for the Windows install?

Re: Boot Camp prep

I set up a 10G partition and verified on a PC that the install disk was bootable.
