email problem with AOL for Mac

Hello,
I have a MAC OS X Ver 10.4.1, Tiger, processor 2.16 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo, Tiger, Firefox and Safari.I do not have a firewall, I allow pop ups.
Several days ago I noticed that my e mail,even from the senders from whom it was always delivered to the"new email" could be found only in "Spam."
This is true regardless whether I use AOL for MAC software,AOL desktop or access AOL e mail from the WEB.
Could anybody advise me how to solve this problem?.May be uninstalling AOL software and installing a new copy would help but I do not know how to remove it.(fully)?
