Twisted Great Antivirus

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE!!!

My Powerbook G4 is running terrably slow and i think its a virus, malware, etc. I perfer not to spend money unless needed but are there any good programs for a POWERPC instead of Intel that i could use?

Open the Activity Monitor, you'll find it in your Utilities folder, and at the bottom there are some buttons, click on the System Memory one. There will be listed some info, what are the numbers next to Free, VM size, Page ins, Page outs, and Swap used?

Hmm, could you give the same info please.

As for spike, it seems that more RAM would aid you. Also, how old is your Mac, and how many apps do you have open. Another thing is that hard drives do slow down the older they get, and being it seems your Mac is using a big chunk for VM, that could slow things down over all. Also, when was your last reboot?
