PLEASE HELP!! password problem

I have a mac mini that I got off of ebay, yes I know, not entirely smart of me. Unfortunately, I do not know the administrator password; I have no problems doing anything else, but if I wish to download anything I can't because it asks for the password. I've been able to deal with it up until now because I want to download Leopard. I heard that if you restart the computer with the disk in it, you can reset the password, but I have no idea how. Also I don't have the actual Tiger (the current operating system that I have) install cd so does it work if I use the leopard one? I tried sticking in the leopard cd and it came up with a window that asked me to restart it, but when I clicked that, it just asked for the password. I am desperate to get/reset the password. If anyone could help, I would be most grateful.

Sorry, as the forum rules state, we do not help with password problems. Also, there is no legal we to download Leopard, it has to be bought in a store on a DVD.
