Please help me with my Powerbook G4!
Ok, so heres what happened:
I bought a used 12" Powerbook G4 (http://support.apple.com/kb/SP90) that had Tiger installed on it, but during a software update I got impatient and performed a force-shutdown (held down the power button), the next time I booted it up it showed the "could not find OS" (blinking finder icon against a gray screen), so I attempted to use the System Restore CD that came with it. Installation failed. Next, I downloaded Xubuntu and attempted to run that, it got into the LiveCD desktop, and somewhat through installation, but somewhere at 5% (where it had been stuck for a while) of the "Removing IDE partition 4..." or something, the hard drive started squealing, so I then force-shut it down again. I have tried both of the installations again and again and nothing is working!! can someone help please!

Re: Please help me with my Powerbook G4!
Update: Now when I go to partition the Hard Drive, there is nothing there but the Installation CD!
