Cry [SOLVED] iTunes/iPod issues

Hi. I am using iTunes 7.6.2 (9) for Mac, with iPod software version 1.3. The updater says these are both the latest versions. I've recently had to restore the iPod several times. Since the last restoration, two problems have occurred:

1. All of the songs in my iPod playlists are grayed out. Not sure what this means, or how it affects using the iPod, but I don't think it was like this before.

2. I recently imported the album Born To Run and created a playlist. When I synced my iPod, I got two playlists on it: one with some of the songs, another with the rest of the songs. They are both entitled Born To Run. I have tried deleting all of the Born To Run playlists in iTunes, creating a playlist with a different name (e.g., Run To Born), and re-importing the songs. None of the new playlists (like Run To Born) show up on my iPod, and the same two Born To Run playlists are still on the iPod. How do I get the WRONG Born To Run playlists off the iPod, and put on one that has all the songs in it?

Your help is VERY much appreciated!

Re: iTunes/iPod issues

For issue 1, yes the songs that are on the iPod will be grayed out. That just means you can't play the songs from the iPod in iTunes. For issue 2, I'm not to sure. My iTunes will copy playlists to my iPod that I didn't tell it to, and when I look at them on the iPod, they are blank. As for your issue, if it were me, I'd make an On-The-Go playlist of the songs you want and listen to it that way. The next time you sync with iTunes, it will copy it to iTunes. Then I'd rename it and then sync that playlist to the iPod.

Thumbs Up Re: iTunes/iPod issues

sinclair_tm, THANK YOU. The On-the-go workaround seems to be solving the problem. I appreciate your help.
