Lexmark 1480 problem
I have a Lexmark Z1480 connected to a MacBook running OSx 10.5.2 using a USB cable (I couldn't get the wireless to work but that's another matter).
The problem is that, although the printer works fine with Microsoft Office for Macs products it crashes any Apple program when I try to print (Safari, Iphoto, mail etc). Any ideas what is going wrong? |

Re: Lexmark 1480 problem
I have to say that is the oddest thing I've ever heard, as they should be using the same print system, in fact they have too. This is something I'd go ask about on the Apple forums, as they should be made aware of it.

Re: Lexmark 1480 problem
I had a Lexmark for my OSX 10.5 Mac and it did kind the same thing some time. I dont know what it was but I think it is the standard text faces that a Mac comes with (or I am crazy). You second issue here is that it is a Lexmark machine! I took a bat to that thing! If you want a strong printer for MAC go with a Epson or Canon. (have both and they are great!)
