imac & gaming
Hi,
I have a G3 imac, with 512mb of ram, 40gb hard drive, 400mhz processor, with Tiger as its operating system. I am thinking of upgrading to a newer Mac. So I want to give the G3 to my son. Q1, If I was to buy a mac compatabile usb wireless adaptor, will it work ok with this Mac?? Q2, My son also has a xbox 360 and would use this mac as a router. So if he connected the xbox to the mac via the ethernet port, will it work?? or does he need to change some settings on the mac?? Many thanks.

Re: imac & gaming
If you get a wireless adaptor that does say it is Mac compatible, then it will work. And once you are connected to the internet over the wireless, then yes, you can connect the Xbox to the ethernet port and share it. In the system prefs, there will be one called sharing. In that panel check next to internet sharing. then you can tell it to share the internet on the wireless with the ethernet port.
