Well, concidering it's a Microsoft development software for writing Windows apps, no. If you are looking to do programming on the Mac, look at REALBasic. Otherwise, you'll have to install Windows on your Mac and run Visual Basic either booted into Windows, or on a vm.

VB 6 no. VisualBasic.NET, yes. Microsoft's languages are somewhat annoying to use on anything other than WIndows, but you could look into Mono. I avoid VB personally, so I don't know how well VB.NET works, but the utilities from the Mono project seem to work fine with C# under Linux. Although I haven't tested them extensively yet, so there could be bugs/issues with aspects like WinForms.

If you're ok with learning new languages, I can suggest some that work on non-Windows operating systems. Although if you still want to use MS's languages, VMware Fusion, Parallels and Boot Camp are all good solutions for using Windows on Apple hardware.

vb 6 WORKS FINE IN Parallels as well as in all other VMs and in Boot Camp. I personally am not familiar with it, but I'm sure that all will work natively
