1) Hi. I erased my HD(Macbook pro.) using disk utilities (35-Pass Erase) after the erase and before Partitioning; 60 gigs shows up as being used on the disk . I was viewing the drive in disk utilities. Anyone know why?
2)I also had parallels installed on this system (Macbook pro.) I found parallel SCSI under content in the system profiler hardware, with the description :"This system does not contain any Parallel SCSI devices. If you have any Parallel SCSI adapters installed, please check that they are seated properly and that any devices connected are powered on, properly cabled, and correctly terminated." I have not re- installed any of the old software. any Ideals why this is so? or is this part of the problem of the missing 60 gigs by the way I'm very new at this.. this being ?? talking online? or blogging? I I ...I need help

Re: Phantom 60GBs
Well, if you are using Disk Utility, it will show all the partitions on the disk in the left pane under the disk icon. It sounds like the disk is partitioned. As for the SCSI thing, just ignore that, as it shows up on all Macs. If you notice, there is also a heading for Fibre Channel, and I'm sure your laptop doesn't have that either. It's just a listing of all the kinds of interfaces that OS X supports, so if there is something plugged in, it'll show up. If not, it just gives the message you got.
