boot camp
I tried loading windows xp sp2 on my macbook pro loaded with Leopard from boot camp. I partitioned it half, half and put in my windows xp installation disk. It went through the installation process and then it tried to reboot. But now I either get a message to boot from cd or disk error and I cannot get out from this loop. Need help.

Mac Method Wiz -- Manager

Re: boot camp
Is the error a Windows boot error, or a Mac boot error? Because it is a Mac, stick in the latest OS X install DVD that you have and then hold down the "c" key. This will force the Mac to start from the DVD, then you can open Startup Disk from the Utility menu and select 10.5 on the hard drive to boot from. If you can't find the DVD, then you can try holding down the "Option" key right when you hear the startup bong and keep holding it until you see some disk icons. It'll sit for a minute as it checks to see what bootable drives you have and then you'll be able to click on the drive icon and then the arrow and it should boot. But I'm not sure if Intel Macs do this or not.

Re: boot camp
I can confirm that the Intel Macs allow operating system selection if you press and hold the "option" key right after the startup chime. Check if this works first.
If that doesn't work, try sinclair_tm's suggestion of starting from the Mac OS X DVD. Let us know if either method shows both partitions (or better if it fixes the problem).
