Control Loss and Disk Drive Problems
I have had my MacBook for just over a year now, and I have never had many problems with it.
Yesterday, I put it to sleep when I was doing something briefly, it wasn't asleep for more than half an hour. When I woke it up again, I could move the mouse around the screen using the touchpad, but when I scroll over anything in the Dock, it does not highlight, nor can I click on anything. I tried simply re-starting the computer, but when it comes back on, I still cannot click on anything. Curiously enough, when it powers up now, anything in the disk drive will automatically eject, but I don't know if the two problems are related in any way. While it is maybe not urgent, seeing as when I plug in a USB mouse, I can regain control of the computer, I would greatly appreciate any assistance that could be offered on this matter. I have updated all the software in an attempt to fix the problem, but it did not work either |

Re: Control Loss and Disk Drive Problems
your trackpad button is stuck in the down position, or if you have trackpad set for tap-click-drag, it thinks you have tapped and not let up yet. make sure that the trackpad is clean of any hair/lint/grease/etc. also go into the preferences pane for keyboard/mouse and look to see what trackpad options are on, and try turning them off to see if the problem goes away.
