Is MAC OSX 10.5 A full or upgrade version?
I was wondering, if you buy the $130 disk from Apple, is that an upgrade version meaning you must have a prior Mac OS or is it a full version meaning you can install it from nothing? http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...&nplm=MB427Z/A

Re: Is MAC OSX 10.5 A full or upgrade version?
It's a full install disk. Apple doesn't do upgrades. Unlike Microsoft with their OSes, Apple does only 2 versions, standard and server, full installers only.

Re: Is MAC OSX 10.5 A full or upgrade version?
Apple did put out an UPGRADE Version of 10.5. It requires you to have 10.4 or later installed to make the upgrade. The disk was included with new MAC's that were already built before Leopard was released.
