Can't get to application on desktop
I have a Powerbook G4 with 10.4 that I sometimes use with an external monitor. When I use it without the monitor, I set System Preferences to Detect Displays and it seems to know that there is no other display.
However I opened an application (QGIS) that I can't see on the desktop unless I press F9 or F10, but then it is grayed out and I can't double click or drag it to the visible part of the desktop. Thanks |

Re: Can't get to application on desktop
Yes, I'd tried restarting. I went the Apple store and conferred with a "genius". His conclusion, which turned out to work, was that the application, an open source GIS Program (QGIS), is probably not fully compliant with the Mac GUI standards and that it doesn't properly sense that the number of monitors has changed. Moving the QGIS window back to the main PowerBook LCD before closing the app solves the problem.
Thanks, ABQDave |
