Windows games on a mac.
Is there a way to run windows games on mac? I don't really know much about macs, but my friend wants to get one. I have heard on bootcamp but don't know much about, also I would prefer a free method of running mac games.
Thanks |

Re: Windows games on a mac.
well, there is no free way to run windows games on your mac. wait, there is, but it's so long, involved and buggy that only the super geeky would even try it. the simplest way to do it with a new intel based mac is with bootcamp, which every new mac comes with. all you need is a legal copy of windows xp sp2 or better. run bootcamp and follow the instructions. when you are done, your mac will dual boot into os x or windows. then when in windows, just run everything like you would on any other pc.

Re: Windows games on a mac.
There's also an app called CrossOver that lets you run Windows apps on Macs without Windows. But it has a list of suuported programs and the list is not too big. I'm not sure if the games will work finely on it. Overalll I didn't like this app when I used it some time ago
